Who says we need new visuals?
John Whitney is a pioneer of audio visual art in the late 1970's.Emerging at the same time as Jordan and James Belson, the two brothers who were made famous by creating the Cosmic Cinema. This short film encapulates the early forms of audio visuals and still influences many producers of the animation today. With a simplistic aesthetic quality he finds inspiration from the emerging digital processes he leaves his analogue computer behind in favour of faster programs. His worked characterised by pcharacterized by psychedelic, blooming colour-forms.
Larry Cuba is arrived on the video art scene in the mid 80's using EVL software.
